Safe Work Practices: This covers
a range of topics that can be expanded or contracted upon, as well
as individual topics that can be focused on specifically to meet OSHA Standards and the customer’s needs. The instructor will
customize the content accordingly.
Basic Electricity for other
Trades: Designed for the non-electrician, to enable other
tradesmen to learn electric principles and safety in simple circuits
less than 600 volts. Primary emphasis: Safety. Terminology,
hazards, electric laws, test equipment, conductors, starters,
transformers, circuit breakers/fuses, lockout procedure & zero
potential testing, single & 3-phase principles, motors.
Electrical
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
To present information, explanations, and provide instruction which
will enable program participants to inspect, troubleshoot, and
maintain equipment at the work site. This is a three to five day
class.
High Voltage Electric Power Systems:
Energy Transfers most popular course. AC theory review, transformer
connections, grounding, system over voltages, short circuits and
circuit breakers, current & potential transformers, protective relay
systems, low voltage (below 600V) fuses. Minimum of 40 hours.
Industrial Electrical Systems:
Electric principles, laws & theory. National Electrical Code.
Solenoids, transformers, relays, switches, contactors & starters,
circuit construction and wiring methods. Troubleshooting and
safety. 16-32 hours. Aimed at mechanical trades.
Industrial
Electro Hydraulics: Teaches efficient troubleshooting with
heavy class participation on actual components. Operating switches,
solenoid valves, switches and relays, temperature & level, system
schematics, programmable controllers. 16-24 hours.
Safety and
Personal Protection Safety Measures: This outline covers a
range of topics that are contracted upon, as well as individual
topics that are focused on to specifically meet O.S.H.A. Standards
and the NFPA70E.
